I have been in Athens teaching and equipping the local Churches as part of a team from the UK.
Whilst in Athens I have had the huge blessing of working alongside passage to life Church, they regularly reach out and evangelise people who are homeless, trapped in prostitution and have huge life issues like addiction.
As we went on the streets to preach and feed the homeless in downtown Athens I met a man called Mahmoud, an Iranian man who had fled Iran because he had converted from Islam to Christianity. He is a construction worker who had an accident at work (being exploited as cheap labour) and broke his foot could not walk properly and as a result could not work. To compound matters he was thrown out of the place he had been living and ended up on the streets sleeping in a tent.
I asked Mahmoud, is it in pain and can I pray for your foot he said yes to both! As he was prayed for I asked him to start to do something he could not do before, I helped him up and he started to walk then he started to jump up and down on this broken foot! There is no pain he said, Thank you Jesus, as we were celebrating what Jesus had diene a lady named Katerina asked will Jesus help me too? I shared the gospel message with her and she gave her life to Jesus too Hallelujah!
